Starbucks Iced Coffee (Home Brew) Review
Last week I found out that Starbucks was selling their famous iced coffee in a whole bean blend that I could take home and brew. Excited? You bet I was!
And so was Mark…we were so excited in fact, that we made iced coffee all weekend. 🙂
Starbucks nicely provides instruction on the side of the bag (so don’t throw it out!) for making their signature iced coffee. It tastes great and comes out perfect, just like when I order it in a store.
A few tips first-
-They only sell it in whole bean right now so make sure you have them grind it at Starbucks or you have a grinder at home (I prefer grinding it myself because I can keep it sealed until I am ready to use it and it stays fresher)
-I did a semi-intensive cleaning of my coffee maker before brewing this coffee and I think it helped out the flavor of all future pots of coffee (at least til the next cleaning!), Cleaning How-To here
-As suggested on the company website, I baked some fresh bread (Double Chocolate Whole-Wheat Banana Bread, recipe) to be exact! it was great, would also be great with some fresh muffins or scones!!!
